Heisman Watch (Week 11)

1. Lamar Jackson | Louisville QB | Sophomore | Last week: (1)

Jackson and the Cardinals barely escaped Virginia with a victory to keep their playoff hopes alive. The sophomore quarterback remains the most unstoppable force in college football, as Louisville is 7-1.

Season stats:

58.3% | 2,522 YDS | 22 TD | 5 INT

147 ATT | 996 YDS | 6.8 AVG | 16 TD

2. Deshaun Watson | Clemson QB | Junior | Last week: (2)

Watson got a huge win over Florida State on Saturday night, including a clutch game-winning drive. Clemson’s quarterback has proven again and again that he’s one of the best performers with the game on the line.

Season stats:

63.5% | 2,328 YDS | 22 TD | 10 INT

88 ATT | 331 YDS | 3.8 AVG | 1 TD

3. Jabrill Peppers | Michigan LB/DB | Junior | Last week: (3)

What can’t this guy do? Don’t be surprised if Peppers ends up winning the Heisman if Michigan is unbeaten and Jackson and Watson both pickup a loss.

Season stats:

44 TACKLES (31 SOLO) | 3.5 SACKS

15 ATT / 131 YDS 3 TD | 2 REC / 3 YDS

6 KR / 168 YDS | 15 PR / 257 YDS / 1 TD

4. Jake Browning | Washington QB | Sophomore | Last week: (4)

Washington was able to defeat Utah 31-24 this week, despite Browning not having his best game, as he threw for just 186 yards. He’s right in the race with the Huskies undefeated.

67.7% | 1,895 YDS | 28 TD | 3 INT

34 ATT | 63 YDS | 1.9 AVG | 4 TD

5. J.T. Barrett | Ohio State QB | Junior (RS) | Last week: (5)

Barrett and the Buckeyes have struggled the past 2 weeks, including their loss in Penn State, but it would be unwise to count J.T. out of the Heisman conversation with some big games coming up.

Season stats:

63.9% | 1,675 YDS | 17 TD | 4 INT

121 ATT | 531 YDS | 4.4 AVG | 6 TD

Other candidates:

-Dalvin Cook | Florida State RB | Junior
-Donnel Pumphrey | San Diego State RB | Senior
-Christian McCaffrey | Stanford RB | Junior
