Andre Holmes | Bills WR

Andre Holmes (neck) has been placed on injured reserve.

Holmes' first season in Buffalo ends with 13 receptions for 120 yards and three touchdowns in ten games. He also contributed on special teams and should have a roster spot with the Bills next season. The former Raider is an underrated talent that would likely be a solid fantasy option in a featured role, but it doesn't appear he'll have that in 2018.

Andre Holmes | Bills WR

Andre Holmes gets three targets against the Chargers.

Holmes caught one pass for seven yards in the Week 11 loss. Though his role might increase if Kelvin Benjamin (knee) is out longer than this game, Holmes isn't a recommended fantasy option at the moment.

Andre Holmes | Bills WR

Andre Holmes catches one pass in Week 9.

Holmes' reception went for 16 yards, as it was on an in-breaking route for a first down. With Kelvin Benjamin set to play in Week 10 after missing tonight's game because he just arrived with the team a couple days ago, Holmes may see his role decrease. He'll be a contributor for the Bills, but Holmes is not a recommended fantasy option.

Andre Holmes | Bills WR

Andre Holmes scores in Bills' win.

This was probably one of Holmes' favorite games of his career, as he led the Bills in receiving and scored against his former Raiders team. Holmes caught three of four targets for 51 yards and a touchdown in the victory, with the score coming on a nice toe-tap catch at the side of the end zone after he ran his route all the way across the end zone to get open. This was Holmes' third touchdown of the season, and the Bills can probably use him more in the red zone area moving forward; but he's not a recommended fantasy option at the moment.

Andre Holmes | Bills WR

Andre Holmes doesn't catch any passes in Week 5.

Holmes was targeted one time by Tyrod Taylor, but they didn't connect. He might have some nice games with Jordan Matthews (thumb) out, but Holmes is not a recommended fantasy option at the moment.

Andre Holmes | Bills WR

Andre Holmes catches touchdown in Bills' win over the Broncos.

It was a two-yard, second-quarter score, and Holmes finished with two catches for six yards. Only six passes were completed to wide receivers for Buffalo on Sunday, so Holmes did well to come away with a touchdown. He can stay on the waiver wire heading into next Sunday's matchup with the Falcons.

Andre Holmes | Bills WR

Andre Holmes scores in Bills' Week 1 win over the Jets.

The former Raiders receiver caught a one-yard touchdown in the flat on his only target of the day. He'll probably be a better real life contributor than he will in fantasy, but he should have some good weeks in 2017.

Andre Holmes | Bills WR

Andre Holmes caught two passes for 11 yards in Thursday night's loss to the Eagles.

The Bills seem to have a pretty fluid wide receiver situation, but Holmes will be no better than the third wideout when Jordan Matthews (sternum) is back on the field.

Andre Holmes | Bills WR

Andre Holmes starts opposite Sammy Watkins in first preseason game.

It's a good sign for Holmes that he started the game, but he didn't catch any passes before he exited. With Anquan Boldin—who didn't play in the game after just arriving with the team this week—in the mix, Holmes might need to hold him off to keep his current starting position.

Andre Holmes | Bills WR

Bills receiver Andre Holmes has "stood out" so far, head coach Sean McDermott said.

Holmes is a former Raider that signed with Buffalo in free agency. The big, athletic receiver saw his playing time decrease in Oakland with the additions of Michael Crabtree and Amari Cooper, but he's a talented player that makes plays when he gets an opportunity. McDermott says he's done a "phenomenal job" on both offense and special teams, and that he's happy with the leadership he's brought to the team with his consistency. As we've stated before, we're fans of Holmes; as is Jon Gruden, who believed Holmes had to get out of Oakland and go somewhere to play a lot, because he can play. Second round pick Zay Jones is the main competition for Holmes grabbing the starting role alongside Sammy Watkins.

Andre Holmes | Bills WR

Andre Holmes has been "an early standout" at Bills' OTAs.

Holmes was with the Raiders for the last four seasons and struggled to get steady playing time with Michael Crabtree and Amari Cooper as the top two receivers. The Bills signed Holmes as a free agent and it might have been one of the better moves in free agency. At 6'4" with very good downfield ability, Holmes might be the guy to step up opposite Sammy Watkins. Rookie second rounder Zay Jones is week-to-week with a knee sprain, so Holmes will have a chance to separate himself early in the offseason activities. As we've stated in the past, Jon Gruden is a fan of Holmes, and thought he just needed an opportunity outside of Oakland. Consider us fans, too. Holmes is someone to watch.

Andre Holmes | Bills WR

Bills head coach Sean McDermott said he believes the number two receiver behind Sammy Watkins is already on the roster.

Andre Holmes might be that guy. A bit of an afterthought in Oakland, Holmes has a lot of ability. During a game last season, Jon Gruden even noted that Holmes should get out of Oakland and go somewhere he can get more time, because he can play. The Bills could add a receiver in the draft, but as of right now, Holmes could open as the number two opposite Sammy Watkins.

Andre Holmes | Bills WR

Receiver Andre Holmes is signing with the Bills.

Holmes is a big, athletic receiver that will have a real shot at starting opposite Sammy Watkins in Buffalo. He always seemed to produce was given opportunities in Oakland. Holmes could have deep sleepers appeal in 2017 fantasy drafts.

Andre Holmes | Bills WR

Andre Holmes is visiting the Bills, according to Mike Garafolo.

There was a bit of a snafu the last couple of days about if Holmes already signed with the Bills. He did not. It seems like it could happen during his visit today, though.

Andre Holmes leads Raiders in receiving against the Texans.

Holmes had four catches for 50 yards and a touchdown in Wild Card matchup. When Michael Crabtree left to be checked for a concussion, Holmes entered the game and made an impact. Jon Gruden argued that Holmes should be looking for a team where he can get more playing time.

Andre Holmes | Bills WR

Andre Holmes catches touchdown in Raiders' win over the Colts.

Holmes had three catches for 33 yards and a touchdown. The touchdown was a six-yarder on a play action pass where Derek Carr rolled right and hit Holmest who ran across the endzone to the right corner. Holmes is not on the fantasy radar to end the year against Denver.
