Corey Grant has been tendered at a second-round level.
The move all but assures that Grant will be back in Jacksonville next season, as other teams would need to forfeit a second-round pick in order to sign the 26-year-old. He didn't get much run behind Leonard Fournette last season, but Grant flashed some serious upside when he was on the field. There's a chance he pushes T.J. Yeldon for the main change-of-pace role in 2018, which could lead to fantasy value in deeper leagues.
Corey Grant provides a spark in AFC Championship loss.
Grant rushed once for two yards and caught three passes for 59 yards. The Jags got the dynamic backup involved early with quick passes, but he fell out of the game plan after that, which was probably a mistake. Grant is a name to keep an eye on as he enters restricted free agency.
Corey Grant handles one touch in playoff victory.
Grant rushed once for three yards in the 10-3 win over Buffalo. The 26-year-old will be primarily used on special teams next week as the Jags look to upset Pittsburgh.
Corey Grant scores in Week 15.
In a blowout win over the Texans, Grant received a season-high in carries and led the Jaguars in rushing. He carried ten times for 69 yards and a touchdown in the victory, showing his great burst with the ball in his hands. With Leonard Fournette (quadricep) set to return next week, it's unlikely this leads to more work for Grant on offense, but it's good to see him shine with his opportunities.
Corey Grant scores on fake punt in Week 10.
The Jaguars did a fake punt in the first quarter, and Grant took it right up the middle for a 56-yard touchdown. It was Grant's only touch of the game, but he made it count with another one of the big plays he's had over the last two seasons. Despite his real-life contributions to the Jags, Grant is not a recommended fantasy option as the fourth option in the backfield for Jacksonville.
Corey Grant gets four carries in Week 9.
Grant gained 18 yards on his four attempts versus the Bengals. He's not on the fantasy radar right now.
Corey Grant gets seven touches against Indianapolis.
Grant carried six times for only eight yards but also added a 28-yard reception in the Jaguars' win. After T.J. Yeldon's huge performance (nine carries for 122 yards and a touchdown), Grant might end up as the fourth guy in Jacksonville's backfield. Either way, Leonard Fournette, who is fully expected back in Week 9, will dominate touches and fantasy value for the Jaguars.
Corey Grant gets one target in Week 5.
He didn't have any reception in the game and he is not a reliable fantasy option despite continuing to play over former second-round pick T.J. Yeldon.
Jaguars run fake punt in blowout win over the Ravens.
Already blowing out Baltimore, the Jaguars decided to run a fake punt, which Corey Grant took for 58 yards. Total, Grant had six caries for 75 yards in the game, along with an 18-yard reception. The big-play back isn't a reliable fantasy option behind Leonard Fournette and Chris Ivory in Jacksonville's backfield.
Corey Grant gains 58 yards in Week 3 of the preseason.
The Jaguars actually ran a fake punt, which Grant took right up the middle for a gain of 51 yards. Grant couldn't get much going besides that, carrying ten times for 58 yards total. It'd be a surprise if Grant is not on the Jaguars final roster, but he's unlikely to have much fantasy value while he's buried on the depth chart.
Corey Grant carries four times for 13 yards in exhibition against the Bucs.
The second-year back didn't get much work, but he looks good and had the second most carries behind Chris Ivory (seven). Grant could have an opportunity to make a statement in the third preseason game versus Carolina, with Leonard Fournette (foot) and T.J. Yeldon (hamstring) battling injuries.
Corey Grant breaks long touchdown run in preseason against NE.
Grant had eight carries for 120 yards, including a 79-yard touchdown where he ran up the middle then got to the second level and showed his breakaway speed. Grant impressed with a 57-yard touchdown during the regular season last year, but the Jaguars running back group is very crowded in front of him.
Corey Grant goes over 100 yards in Jaguars' final game of the season.
Grant had 18 carries for 122 yards and a touchdown, with two catches for 15 yards against the Colts. Grant is someone to keep an eye on for 2017, but he'll be behind T.J. Yeldon and Chris Ivory in the Jaguars backfield.
