The Lions re-signed wide receiver T.J. Jones.
Jones was a restricted free agent, and he remains in a good spot with Detroit. Last season, Jones stepped up for the Lions and became one of their better contributors, catching 30 passes for 399 yards and one touchdown. Considering Jones has more experience in the offense, he might have a shot at fending off talented second-year receiver Kenny Golladay for the third receiver spot behind Marvin Jones and Golden Tate this season.
T.J. Jones (shoulder) heads to the locker room.
Jones hurt his shoulder in middle of the fourth quarter and is officially being called questionable to return. With around six minutes to go in the game, we might not see Jones back. Before leaving, Jones had three receptions for 26 yards and a touchdown, with the score coming on a short pass to the flat off a nicely designed play. Jones isn't a fantasy option right now, but he remains a real-life contributor for the Lions.
T.J. Jones caught three passes for 26 yards in Sunday's win over the Bucs.
Jones continues to split time with Kenny Golladay behind Marvin Jones and Golden Tate, but he isn't a fantasy option. Detroit hosts Chicago in Week 15.
T.J. Jones caught four passes for 55 yards in Sunday's win over the Bears.
Jones has had a handful of quality games in 2017, but he's yet to find the end zone through 10 games. Keep him on the waiver wire heading into a matchup with the Vikings.
T.J. Jones catches both targets in Week 9.
Jones caught both of his targets versus Green Bay, gaining 29 yards in the Lions win. He's not a recommended fantasy option, but Jones has been a reliable target for Matthew Stafford when he's had his number called and is on pace for over 500 yards this season.
T.J. Jones comes up big for Lions in Week 8.
The Lions didn't come out with the victory, but Jones played very well and worked as a reliable target for Matthew Stafford throughout the game. Jones caught four of eight targets for 88 yards, as he showed toughness while making catches in the Cover 2 hole with the safety crashing down to hit him. This was probably the best game of Jones' career so far, and he'll continue to have a role even if rookie Kenny Golladay (hamstring) is healthy in Week 9.
T.J. Jones gets nine targets in Week 6.
Jones caught only three of the nine targets, gaining 33 yards against New Orleans. He's not a recommended fantasy option right now, especially with Kenny Golladay (hamstring) likely to come back after the team's bye next week.
T.J. Jones caught two passes for 12 yards in Sunday's loss.
Jones was the team's third receiver with Kenny Golladay out again, but he couldn't do much in the 27-24 loss. Whether or not Golladay returns in Week 6, Jones isn't a recommended fantasy option
T.J. Jones catches three passes in Week 4.
Jones received more playing time with Kenny Golladay out, but the rookie Golladay isn't expected to miss much more time. Jones will help the Lions in real life, but he's not a fantasy option.
T.J. Jones leads the team in receiving on Sunday.
Jones caught three passes for 63 yards, with the highlight being a contested grab over the middle where he was drilled but held onto the ball. The 25-year-old will continue to split time with rookie Kenny Golladay behind Golden Tate and Marvin Jones, so he isn't a fantasy option.
T.J. Jones caught two passes for 32 yards in the Lions' season opener.
Jones split time with rookie Kenny Golladay behind Golden Tate and Marvin Jones, but Golladay's two-touchdown performance probably locks the rookie into three-WR sets. T.J. Jones can stay on the waiver wire. Detroit plays the Giants next.
T.J. Jones catches one pass in Week 1 of the preseason.
Jones worked as the third receiver for the Lions, catching a 22-yard pass from Matthew Stafford on the opening drive of the game. The problem (for Jones, at least) is rookie receiver went off for two touchdowns and looks poised to seize the number three receiver role in the offense. Still, Jones will contribute for the Lions.
T.J. Jones worked with the Lions first team offense throughout the offseason.
Golden Tate and Marvin Jones are locked in as the top two receivers, but with Anquan Boldin gone, there is an opportunity for T.J. Jones to be the third receiver. Big and talented rookie Kenny Golladay and others will also be competing for that spot, but Jones has a veteran advantage as he enters his fourth year in the league. Jones only has 15 career receptions, but averages 15.0 yards per reception. Still, he might struggle making a fantasy impact behind at least Golden Tate and Marvin Jones for targets.
T.J. Jones caught three passes for 49 yards in Sunday's win.
It was Jones' first game of the season, as he was on the active roster with Marvin Jones out. He can stay on waivers.
