‘Madden 19’ Preview And Thoughts: Graphics

EA Sports’ final deep dive for Madden 19 was about graphics. Here is the blog post and my thoughts.

Key Updates

The final blog was extremely short, as there aren’t many substantial changes in graphics. EA says they “focused [on] raising the overall quality of our players to make them look as real as possible,” which included updates to skin tones and likeness for the players. Apparently, there is more detail around eyes and improved player sweat, too.

Madden 19 also has more facemasks, gloves, and cleats to go along with new in-game lighting to “make things pop and help bring a next-level realism to the gamer.”

My Thoughts

And that’s it. No talk of finally adding mouthpieces or getting authentic tattoos or actually improving the look of players on the sidelines so they don’t appear so fake. There isn’t much else that needs to be said about graphics, but EA also revealed seven players in the “Madden 99 Club” for Madden 19: Tom Brady, Aaron Donald, Von Miller, Aaron Rodgers, Luke Kuechly, Antonio Brown, and Rob Gronkowski.

‘Madden 19’ releases on August, 10 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
